At The Holiday Home, we believe that a great holiday starts with a well-prepared stay. Our chalets are modern and practical, with comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious covered terrace. You stay surrounded by nature, with plenty of space to play, relax and spend time together. In many chalets you can also book additional extras, such as a linen package or the rental of an e-bike. This way, you can tailor your stay even better to your wishes and to the possibilities of the park where you are staying.

Our chalets are situated on quiet, nature-oriented parks in the Netherlands and the South of France, surrounded by trees, green areas and well-maintained paths. You stay right in the middle of nature, often within walking distance of forest, dunes or the beach, so you can step straight outside into the fresh air. The layout of the parks is carefully designed so you really feel like you are getting away from it all, while still having the main park facilities within easy reach. Whether you choose sun and sea in France or space and tranquillity in Overijssel, the surroundings invite you to spend time outdoors and enjoy fresh air and beautiful walking routes.

Each accommodation is atmospheric and practical, with comfortable beds, wooden or low-maintenance floors and a spacious seating area that invites you to relax together. The kitchen is fully equipped with all essential basics, so you can easily cook your own meals or prepare breakfast to enjoy outside on the terrace. Every chalet has a covered terrace or decking with a complete garden set, allowing you to sit outside comfortably even when the weather is a bit less predictable. Heating, ventilation and, where available, air conditioning ensure a pleasant indoor climate, so you can enjoy a comfortable stay in every season and truly unwind.

The locations of The Holiday Home are very well suited to families with young children, thanks to the safe outdoor areas and the calm, well-organised layout of the parks. Many parks offer play equipment, open fields or small playgrounds within a short walking distance of the chalets, so children can play freely while you stay nearby. The layout of the parks is easy to oversee, with minimal through traffic, which contributes to a strong sense of safety. In addition, several locations offer facilities such as cots and safety gates, so that young children can sleep and play in a safe and comfortable environment.

Pets & pet policy

We want every guest to enjoy a clean and comfortable environment, which is why we have a clear and guest-friendly pet policy. At our location in the Netherlands, dogs are welcome, provided they stay off the furniture and are kept on a lead in the areas where the park requires it. At our location in France, pets are not allowed, ensuring that the chalets remain hygienic and the park complies with local regulations. Our locations in the South of France benefit from many hours of sunshine during the high season and are situated in parks with facilities such as a swimming pool, sunbathing area or playing fields. In Argelès-sur-Mer you can reach the beach, the promenade and the lively harbour with shops and great ice-cream parlours in just a few minutes. In the Netherlands, you stay in a park where peace, nature and good facilities are key, often with water or fishing opportunities close by. This allows you to decide whether your holiday will focus mainly on sun and sea, or rather on space, nature and relaxation closer to home.

At many chalets, you can add towel and linen packages directly to your reservation, allowing you to travel lighter and enjoy a more comfortable stay. Depending on the location, additional options may be available, such as renting an e-bike or a gas barbecue — ideal for a relaxed and carefree holiday.

You will read how check-in works, where you can park, which extras you have booked and what is useful to bring with you on holiday. For each location we indicate which facilities are available, such as wifi, a swimming pool, playground or on-site catering, so you immediately have a good picture of the park. This way, you can start your journey feeling relaxed and arrive without unpleasant surprises — exactly how a carefree holiday should begin.

Every chalet contains a clear and practical welcome booklet, filled with useful information, tips and explanations about your stay and the surrounding area. Inside you will find instructions for the appliances, the park’s opening hours, clear maps and a list of important phone numbers and services. The booklet also includes inspiring ideas for days out, walking routes, sights to see and handy addresses such as supermarkets, bakeries and local markets. This makes it easy to plan your holiday and get the most out of the region, without having to search everything yourself or figure it all out on the spot.

How can I book?

You can easily book online via the location page of your choice. You choose your preferred dates and will immediately receive an email confirmation with the next steps.

Can I book extras, such as bed linen?

Yes, you can book towels and bed linen per person when booking. You can pick these up upon arrival: in France at the caretaker's chalet and in the Netherlands at reception. They will then be ready for you.

Where are your accommodations located?

Our holiday homes are located in the Netherlands (Overijssel) and the South of France (Argelès-sur-Mer). We will be expanding to more countries in the future.

Can pets be accommodated?

Dogs are welcome in the Netherlands, as long as they don't get on the furniture. Pets are not allowed in France. This ensures a clean and comfortable environment for all guests.

Can I park for free at the accommodation?

Yes, free and safe parking is available at all locations. You can usually park your car right next to or close to the chalet.

What about power and charging?

Each chalet has standard Dutch power outlets, so you can easily charge your phone or laptop. Please note that charging electric cars is not permitted at any of the locations.

Which languages do you speak?

The Holiday Home's management speaks Dutch and English. If you contact us by email, we can also translate if needed. At the location in France, the reception speaks French and English.

Will I be contacted immediately after booking?

Yes. After booking, you will receive immediate confirmation, and we will contact you personally to discuss and coordinate everything.

Is Wi-Fi/internet available?

Free Wi-Fi is available at all locations, either at the reception or at the accommodation itself. This is indicated per location.

Is the accommodation suitable for children?

Yes, all our locations are child-friendly. Think of playgrounds, a quiet location, and a safe outdoor area near the chalet.

What can I expect from the terrace and outdoor area?

All chalets have a covered wooden terrace or deck with garden furniture. Barbecuing is permitted, but only with a gas barbecue.

How does the deposit work?

Upon booking, you will receive information about the deposit per location. The processing and refund will be handled by our local host.
