New chalets in Argelès

Behind the scenes, we are building brand-new chalets at the Argelès-sur-Mer park — peacefully located, surrounded by greenery, and ready for carefree holidays. The first new chalets are expected in 2026, featuring spacious wooden decks with comfortable outdoor furniture, efficient air conditioning, and improved lighting along the paths. Together with the park, we’re investing in additional play areas, more stable and faster Wi-Fi, and eco-friendly paths that blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings. For the Netherlands, we highlight Camping de Pallegarste in Mariënberg — an excellent park for fishing, highly accessible, and ideal for families. Enjoy sun and sea in France, or choose tranquility, space, and great facilities close to home in Overijssel.

Summer tips with kids

Our favorite day trips and activities around the parks have been carefully selected for families with young children. The swimming pools at both parks have been renewed — hygienic, child-friendly, and equipped with extra play features and clear safety measures. Everywhere you’ll find spots for sunscreen and fresh drinking water, and at the Argelès reception you can now buy sun care and handy summer items. At Pallegarste, daily fun activities are organized for all ages. In Argelès, you’re just minutes away from the beach, the lively boulevard with charming shops, and the marina with the best ice-cream bars. Combine beach, pool, and short trips for a relaxed holiday rhythm everyone will love.

Meet the hosts

We are Tim and Sara, two Dutch entrepreneurs with a deep love for the outdoors, camping, and family holidays. Together — with the help of family and friends — we’re building comfortable chalets on beautiful parks where you can truly unwind. We aim for a warm, fresh, and homely atmosphere with practical amenities so you feel at home right away. As parents, we know how valuable it is when everything feels just right: a good night’s sleep, space for kids to play, and a veranda for relaxed evenings. We love animals, have two dogs ourselves, and bring that same personal, down-to-earth Dutch hospitality into everything we do.

Seasonal update

We’re currently working on our new website and expanding our locations with additional chalets. For the coming seasons, we’re focusing on comfortable beds, efficient cooling and heating, practical kitchens, and inviting verandas with good lighting. Where possible, we’re upgrading bathrooms and adding smart storage solutions — creating a space that’s compact yet generous. Across the parks, we’re improving pathways, play areas, and Wi-Fi coverage while exploring new destinations for the future. Our goal remains the same: a carefree holiday with a modern, homely atmosphere and everything you need close at hand — not excessive luxury, just comfort and thoughtful design.

Frequently asked question

How can I book?

You can easily book online via the location page of your choice. You choose your preferred dates and will immediately receive an email confirmation with the next steps.

Can I book extras, such as bed linen?

Yes, you can book towels and bed linen per person when booking. You can pick these up upon arrival: in France at the caretaker's chalet and in the Netherlands at reception. They will then be ready for you.

Where are your accommodations located?

Our holiday homes are located in the Netherlands (Overijssel) and the South of France (Argelès-sur-Mer). We will be expanding to more countries in the future.

Can pets be accommodated?

Dogs are welcome in the Netherlands, as long as they don't get on the furniture. Pets are not allowed in France. This ensures a clean and comfortable environment for all guests.

Can I park for free at the accommodation?

Yes, free and safe parking is available at all locations. You can usually park your car right next to or close to the chalet.

What about power and charging?

Each chalet has standard Dutch power outlets, so you can easily charge your phone or laptop. Please note that charging electric cars is not permitted at any of the locations.

Which languages do you speak?

The Holiday Home's management speaks Dutch and English. If you contact us by email, we can also translate if needed. At the location in France, the reception speaks French and English.

Will I be contacted immediately after booking?

Yes. After booking, you will receive immediate confirmation, and we will contact you personally to discuss and coordinate everything.

Is Wi-Fi/internet available?

Free Wi-Fi is available at all locations, either at the reception or at the accommodation itself. This is indicated per location.

Is the accommodation suitable for children?

Yes, all our locations are child-friendly. Think of playgrounds, a quiet location, and a safe outdoor area near the chalet.

What can I expect from the terrace and outdoor area?

All chalets have a covered wooden terrace or deck with garden furniture. Barbecuing is permitted, but only with a gas barbecue.

How does the deposit work?

Upon booking, you will receive information about the deposit per location. The processing and refund will be handled by our local host.
